Welcome to the Lean Implementation Program website developed by ELSE Inc. We are a Canadian company located in Windsor, Ontario.
My name is Gabriela Drescher and I am the Force behind the value we provide, which is Lean knowledge transfer to you, so you succeed as a business. I moved to Canada over 24 years ago from Romania, more specifically Transylvania. I have been an Engineer for 30 years, and a Lean practitioner for 20 years working at a Toyota supplier and other automotive-based companies. In 2000, I became Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. Now, I work for a computer integrated manufacturing mass customization company, outside the automotive sector.
I’ve been trained extensively in Lean, using various Lean Production Systems, and I am certified by LEI as a value stream trainer (2004). I have attended many Lean conferences to continue developing my Lean knowledge and experience Lean success stories in many industries. I was a team finalist for the coveted Shingo prize for Lean, and I have participated in multiple SWAT teams to address operational challenges. Lean is my passion and my lean learning journey continues.
Robert Drescher, my husband, who holds a business degree, is our web developer and CEO of ELSE Inc. Our sales strategy is purely online, and Robert develops the Lego simulations based on the needs of our customers.
In 2004, I started a blog called www.implement-lean-manufacturing.com. Some followers asked if I had some Lean simulations that could help them, which led to the creation and development of Lean simulations and training materials.
In 2007, a good friend and I decided to start a company that would be different than the usual Lean consulting businesses out there, something else. Thus, the name ELSE Inc. emerged. From a strategic perspective, Else is defined as: Experiential Lean Solutions for Enterprises.
In 2008, with a group of friends, we founded the Lean subcommittee under Professional Engineers Ontario. We provided free Lean seminars to many companies, professionals and Engineering students in the local region. Also, I have been a frequent panelist for the Women in Engineering Forum under PEO, that encourages young women into the Engineering profession.
Today, we have redeveloped our website to be suitable for online learning, along with updated versions of Lean training materials and simulations. Our new website features the “Lean Implementation Program” which is the pinnacle of all my years of experience, successes, and failures as a Lean practitioner. Our Lean modules will provide the knowledge, application, and skills required for success in your Lean journey.
Lastly, I want to express my sincere gratitude to my family, friends, and co-workers for their unconditional support in my Lean journey. Without them, we would not be able to provide our services to you. I hope you enjoy.
Good luck in your Lean journey!
